Fun, small, busy fun and shop with immediate need looking for experienced fabricator. Located on Max and bus lines. Ideal candidate had good attitude and enjoys creating, lending to a positive and community feel, but most importantly pride in craftsmanship. Not a corporate environment. Work is both residential and commercial.

Ability and experience with layout and fabrication of handrails, gates and other architectural elements preferred. You will need to be able to take a project from beginning to end/ layout to finish to installation. Job offers a variety of work; so never a dull day, but does require a varied skill set.

Work is both onsite and in shop.

Ideal candidate will have the following skill set:

Experience fabricating handrail and gates

problem solving

strong math skills

ability to think through a project

creative critical thinking and strong geometry/math aptitude

Proficient with MIG welding steel (especially short arc, some inner shield)

Grinding and finishing skills with an eye for cosmetic detail

Create cut lists and layout from shop drawings

Read and comprehend blueprints and architectural drawings

Able to use bandsaws, ironworkers, cold saw, drills, taps, and other applicable industry tools

Use of Cutting torch and plasma cutter

Able to make items square, plumb and to spec consistently and accurately

Make and work from jigs/ fixtures

Concrete drilling and use of anchors, NS Grout and setting all level and plumb

Team player

Independently driven, can work without oversight

Eye for high finish

Drive to make a high quality product and a want to increase/ evolve skills

Must have valid drivers license

Applicable Optional Skills:

TIG welding (AL, stainless, copper)

Blacksmithing

Rigging / lifting

CNC plasma table drafting and set up

tubing and stock benders and rollers

creativity
