ResponsibilitiesProvides direction to professional and supervisory staff in the Revenue Cycle Coding. Participates in strategic planning for the Enterprise Revenue Cycle as it relates to coding quality. Translates the Mayo Clinic and departmental vision into meaningful and effective responses and results. Delegates responsibility and authority to carry out work. Manages multiple functions and serves as a resource with oversight in day to day coding quality activities. May manage multi-site operations. May possess technical knowledge appropriate to functions being managed with additional knowledge in other functions including professional management. Participates in the identification of coding opportunities to quality and accuracy to act as a catalyst for education, training and auditing opportunities. Acts as a facilitator and generator of new ideas and a mediator on difficult issues. Brings awareness of current external environment issues. Participates in the overall management of the Enterprise Revenue Cycle by serving on Enterprise projects/groups, task forces, councils and committees. Serves as a liaison between sections and other departments and agencies inside and outside Mayo. Creates customer service driven sections and fosters collaboration with physician and administrative colleagues. Builds teamwork within the Enterprise Revenue Cycle. Participates in retention planning initiatives. Travel required as assignments warrant.This position is 100% remote work. Individual may live anywhere in the US.Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. The complete interview will be reviewed by a Mayo Clinic staff member and you will be notified of next steps.QualificationsBachelor's degree and 8 years' experience, which includes at least two years of relevant financial leadership experience OR Master’s degree and 6 years of relevant experience, which includes at least two years of relevant financial leadership experience OR in lieu of bachelor's degree, 12 years' of relevant experience is required, which includes two years of relevant financial leadership may be considered.Additional Qualifications:-Health care revenue cycle leadership experience preferred. Relevant certification(s).-Master's degree preferred.Licensure/Certifications:Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS ), Certified Coding Specialist - Physician (CCS-P) Certified Inpatient Coder (CIC) or a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) preferred.Exemption StatusExemptCompensation Detail$108,306.00 - $157,040.00 / year.
