JOB SUMMARY: As the Senior Manager, Events you will be responsible for managing all facility and contractual obligations for team events and assigned concerts from the time the event is booked through settlement. Eventful Weekends and Holidays:

The role demands your presence during 63 NBA and WNBA home games plus playoffs. Given the dynamic nature of this schedule, weekends and holidays become integral to the job. Success requires a commitment to delivering outstanding experiences, even on these high-impact game days.

Endurance Beyond the Norm:

Long days are not just a possibility; they are a reality. Be prepared for a schedule that may involve late nights and early mornings, particularly during event execution. Success in this role requires resilience and the ability to perform at your best, even in the midst of demanding hours.

Juggling Client Relationships:

The Senior Manager, Events, is at the intersection of multiple client relationships, with a focus on the Brooklyn Nets and New York Liberty. Success involves not only managing these relationships but also ensuring seamless coordination and execution of events to meet the diverse needs of each client. The ability to balance and prioritize multiple clients simultaneously is a key component of success.

Dynamic Teamwork:

Collaboration is at the core of what we do. Success in this role requires effective teamwork with our NBA and WNBA teams, event promoters, and internal departments. Understanding and navigating the dynamics between multiple stakeholders are crucial skills that will define your success at Barclays Center.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: What You Will Do

Serves as primary liaison to tenant teams, event promoters, and clients to successfully execute events and accomplish client and arena goals.

Prepare and distribute detailed production notes for each event and schedule production. meetings with the venue’s department heads (including but not limited to operations, security, food & beverage, and guest services).

Coordinate and communicate with tenant teams, clients, and arena departments to develop and create labor cost estimates, and fulfill and uphold union contract obligations, to successfully produce assigned events.

Work home NBA and WNBA games and assist with execution of game day activities with assigned primary tenant teams.

Create accurate arena configuration drawings in AutoCAD that reflect seating manifests in collaboration with the Director/Box Office.

Communicate event information and needs to building staff as needed.

Serve as on-site arena representative during assigned events, arriving at load-in and remaining on site through event load-out or until supervisory duties are complete.

For non-tenant events, review event technical and production riders to determine availability of all provisions as outlined; coordinate arrangements to procure equipment, labor, and permits as needed.

Work a flexible schedule, including long nights, early mornings, weekends & holidays as needed.

Other duties as assigned.

CANDIDATE PROFILE: Who You Are

4-year accredited college degree required.

6+ years of live event, sports, or other related professional experience.

Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and balance business relationships in a professional and confidential manner.

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Proficiency in MS Office including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Computer Aided Design (CAD) software and ticketing software knowledge is preferred.

KEY COMPETENCIES: Skills You Possess

Ability to read, listen and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system.

Must be extremely organized and detail oriented, resourceful, quick learner and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Exceptional guest and client service capabilities.
