At Photonics Ops South, we specialize in the design, development, and manufacturing of complex, state-of-the-art systems for military, space, and commercial applications. Our products include both optical and RF systems as well as sophisticated image processing & visualization systems.What You’ll Get to Do:

Participating in the ISO-9001 internal audit team; Supporting customer audits as required

Participating in all aspects of the Root Cause and Corrective Action process (initiation, investigation, implementation, review)

Identifying and implementing process improvements to meet program-specific, and corporate goals

Conducting in-process and final inspection audits in manufacturing and/or shipping as needed

Conducting regular walk-through audits of lab and production areas

Coordinating NCMR process including MRB team reviews and material disposition

Writing quality process documents, work instructions, and inspection guides as needed

Participating in supplier site-audits and scorecard reviews as needed

Creating and conducting training on quality assurance topics for all company personnel, as appropriate

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

BS in Engineering or related technical field

5+ years of experience in electronic, optoelectronic, and/or opto-mechanical product quality assurance

Experience in small volume manufacturing and the transition to a contract manufacturer

ASQ certifications (CQE, CQA, CSQP), or other similar professional certifications a plus

Solid knowledge of ISO 9001. Familiarity with AS9100 a plus

Prior experience delivering hardware for space-flight programs a plus

Excellent work habits (proactive, responsible, organized, self-motivated, etc.)

Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

Experience in creating and delivering training to support electro-mechanical assembly.

Strong root cause analysis/corrective action of electronic assembly workmanship issues.
