Experience working in SE Alaska this summer for 7 weeks!
We are hiring a cook for our guest weeks of June 9-July 28. Perfect for someone who wants hospitality experience, yet in a small family-run atmosphere preparing meals for groups of 12-16 people, all while working in a beautiful remote location (yet only a 20 min. boat ride to the town of Craig) in a new commercial kitchen with picturesque water views.
Salary is weekly plus tips. Total gross for the 7 week period would range between $11k-$13k. Also included is room and board, transportation to/from Alaska from the lower 48. Prepare 3 meals/day with 2 days off/week. Manage your own time with possible extra free time while guests are out fishing 8+ hours/day M, T, and W. Examples of activities available during free time/days off: hiking, kayaking, stream fishing, saltwater fishing from our dock, seeing the various towns and wilderness locations on Prince of Wales Island. Local wildlife includes humpback whales, sea otters, bald eagles, Sitka deer, and the occasional Black Bear.
The property is on a small island in an archaepelago of other small uninhabited islands. We are located on the water, with amazing views and sunsets. We have cell service and wireless internet. You would be sharing a two story staff cabin with 2 others.
