Description A local CPA firm is seeking a highly skilled and experienced interim Tax Manager to join their team for the 2023 tax season. As a key player in our organization, you will be responsible for reviewing and preparing annual tax returns using Lacerte.You will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with tax regulations, optimizing financial processes, and providing strategic tax planning advice. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of tax laws, exceptional analytical skills, and extensive experience with Lacerte Intuit software.Responsibilities:

Oversee the preparation and review of annual tax returns for individuals, businesses, and other entities using Lacerte Intuit.

Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with relevant tax regulations.

Identify and implement tax-saving opportunities for clients.

Conduct thorough reviews of tax returns prepared by team members, providing guidance and feedback for improvement.

Implement quality control measures to uphold the highest standards in tax return accuracy and compliance.

Serve as a primary point of contact for clients regarding tax-related inquiries and issues.

Communicate complex tax concepts in a clear and understandable manner to clients.

Provide mentorship and guidance to junior tax professionals.

Foster a collaborative and positive work environment within the tax department.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA designation needed.

5 years of experience in tax preparation and review.

Proficient in using Lacerte Intuit software.

Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Leadership experience and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
