Maintenance/Janitorial Position - Full Time / Benefits

Position Summary:

The full-time maintenance/janitorial position performs the day-to-day tasks to clean and maintain the interior and exterior building and its adjacent property. Compensation includes hourly pay plus medical/dental/vision health benefits and vacation/holiday/sick pay.

This janitorial/custodial position’s responsibilities include but are not limited to sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, shampooing rugs, dusting, washing windows and other surfaces (i.e. bathroom mirrors, etc.), trash removal, cleaning and maintaining bathrooms and all other rooms, sanitizing and disinfecting all surfaces and commonly used fixtures and equipment and restocking supplies. Light landscaping including but not limited to yard blowing, sweeping, trimming bushes and cutting grass. Other duties as assigned (including event set ups).

Skills and Qualifications:

Good communication skills

Ability to follow directions

Knowledge of various cleaning products and when to use them

Knowledge of cleaning and disinfecting various surfaces

Knowledge of safety guidelines when working with chemicals

Knowledge of working with floor scrubbers, yard blower and other maintenance/janitorial equipment

Ability to lift and remove at least 75 pounds

Good organizational skills

Excellent time-management skills

Must pass a background check required for employees of licensed preschool facilities

Compensation: up to $22 per hour depending upon experience and including medical/dental/vision health benefits and vacation/holiday/sick pay

Hours: 40 hours per week (on-site). Schedule will include weekends.
