Location: This role is scheduled to be 100% remote. While remote, finalists MUST reside in one of the following states to be eligible for employment with Kaiser Permanente: CA, OR, WA, HI, CO, GA, MD, VA, CT, DC, or IL. Department Description: JFA+ is a multi-year program that creates a new job framework aligning job descriptions, base pay, incentive targets, and performance management. JFA+ is needed to provide employees with visibility into career opportunities and progression, and to attract, engage, and retain diverse talent to support KP’s mission. Our team oversee an enterprise-wide standardized methodology for building and maintaining job content, job descriptions, and other collateral job materials to drive KP's integrated talent management strategy. Internship Project(s): Manage JFA governance intake requests by working directly with SMEs to develop and validate legally defensible job content for new or revised JFA jobs. Develop technical reports for new and existing JFA sub-functions (i.e., job families) on an as needed basis or as intake volume permits. Support the ongoing maintenance of JFA job content within KP HR systems. This includes but is not limited to coding, entering, and validating job data; and developing reports on an ad hoc basis. This internship role will provide consulting support to KPs Job Family Alignment Program. Working directly under the guidance of program leadership, this position will be responsible for performing job analysis, providing consulting support to JFA stakeholders, managing and analyzing job data, writing technical reports, and providing administrative support to team leaders. Essential Responsibilities:

Manages JFA governance intake requests by working directly with SMEs to develop and validate legally defensible job content for new and/or revised JFA jobs.

Supports the ongoing maintenance of JFA job content within KP HR systems. This includes but is not limited to coding, entering, and validating job data; and developing reports on an ad hoc basis.

Provides administrative and project support to program leadership as required.

Completes training and learns new applications needed to complete assignments or support the execution of business objectives.

Participates in job shadowing of management in other functional HR or business areas.

Performs additional duties as required.

Masters degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Effectiveness, HR, or a directly related field OR current enrollment in a graduate program in a directly related field.

License, Certification, Registration

Knowledge of HR practices and procedures in areas including job analysis, compensation, HR operations, and talent management.

Advanced analytical and problem solving skills.

Proven ability to build effective working relationships as well as strong interpersonal skills.

Ability to learn quickly and produce high quality work in short periods of time.

One (1) year experience conducting job analysis.

One (1) year experience developing job descriptions or other job materials.

One (1) year experience working in compensation.

One (1) year experience working in talent management or employee assessment.

One (1) year consulting experience.

One (1) year project management experience.
