We are on a journey to enable developer friendly, mission-critical, AI enabled operational Databases across relational, non-relational and OSS offerings.​​​The Azure Database for PostgreSQL team is hiring a Principal Group Program Manager to lead the program management for the Azure Database for PostgreSQL – Flexible Server managed Postgres service. In this role, you will lead a geographically distributed team of product managers and partner with engineering leaders to deliver a cloud database platform that delights our customers.​​We do not just value differences or different perspectives. ​​Ideation of end-to-end product features which includes customer and competitor research, scoping and prioritization, functional specifications, documentation, usage measurement, supportability, and optimization.

Collaborate across multiple internal product groups to capture stakeholder requirements and track inbound and outbound engineering dependencies.

Actively engage with Microsoft field teams as well as external partners, communities, and customers to capture feedback on gaps and opportunities that factor into future development periods.​

Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development

OR equivalent experience.

5+ years people management experience.

6+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

Other RequirementsAbility to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check:

This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred/Additional Qualifications

Experience in ML/AI based platforms for model development​​

Experience in developing ML models, an dintegrating these into applications

Technical Program Management M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $158,500 - $276,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $202,800 - $304,200 per year.Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
