Design, develop, and maintain software services and applications in support of the security monitoring service.

Identify opportunities and drive the implementation of automation to improve service health, manageability, reliability, and telemetry.

Read, write, configure, design, and script end-to-end service telemetry, alerting and self-healing capabilities for platforms.

Own, triage, investigate and resolve service issues with an emphasis on broad communication, learning & teaching throughout the process.

Take part in our on-call rotation for the enterprise security monitoring service, including support for first- and third-party solutions.

Support our security monitoring service within the US federal environment, to include development of new capabilities and support of first and third party tools.

Document and communicate the design and architecture of built services.

QualificationsRequired/Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline with proficient experience coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

OR equivalent experience.

Other requirementsAbility to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:Microsoft Cloud Background Check. This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.This position requires verification of citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions. Specifically, this position supports United States federal, state, and/or local United States government agency customers and is subject to certain citizenship-based restrictions where required or permitted by applicable law. To meet this legal requirement, and as a condition of employment, the successful candidate’s citizenship will be verified with a valid passport.Preferred/Additional Qualifications 

1+ years of experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.

1+ years of experience with cloud computing platforms.

Cybersecurity background and experience in blue-team environments, especially supporting security operation centers (SOCs).

Software Engineering IC2 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $76,400 - $151,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $100,300 - $165,400 per year.Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
