This position will be part of the Enterprise Services team, which delivers a full suite of services to state agencies, boards, councils, and commissions, and many central services to local government partners.In this role you will administer critical management information systems used by all divisions of MNIT Services Agency. This position is responsible for the management, administration, and Active Directory infrastructure support of the Windows Domain Services. This includes Active Directory and group policy management for servers, users and workstations, and the design, management, configuration and support of DNS, DHCP, DFS, PKI Architecture, Compliance Audit and Reporting, File and Print Services including File Servers and Domain Controllers. This position will work with leads on large enterprise-wide projects to plan, design, test, and deploy new technology. This position will be responsible for the analysis and resolution of the most complex issues regarding Active Directory domain administration, Group Policy administration, DNS, DHCP, Domain Controller servers, and enterprise server applications. This position priority will monitor support tickets and be expected to work to completion.This position is currently eligible for full-time telework:

Telework (https://mn.gov/mmb-stat/policies/1422-telework.pdf) for Minnesota IT Services allows an employee to perform work from a telework location and an employee may be required to be in the office based on business needs and other dependencies in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Only candidates located in Minnesota and bordering states (Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, or Wisconsin) are telework eligible.

Minimum QualificationsCandidates must clearly demonstrate all of the following qualifications in their resume:Position requires a minimum of three (3) years of IT related experience working with Microsoft Active Directory and server operating systems.Experience must include:

Ability to design, setup, configure and install a complete domain

Server operating systems (such as Microsoft Operating system)

Microsoft management components (such as DNS, DHCP, DCs, and GPO)

Installation, configuration, and functionality of Microsoft Active Directory application features (such as Microsoft domains, LDAP bases solutions & Trust)

LAN/WAN routing communication protocols including TCP/IP (IPv4, IPv6), NetBIOS

Ability to deliver effective verbal or written messages that facilitate a mutual understanding on both parties.

Customer service skills that include active listening, empathy, and problem-solving.

A master’s degree in Information Technology or a related field substitutes for three (3) years of experience, OR a related bachelor’s degree substitutes for two (2) years, OR a related associate’s degree substitutes for one (1) year.Preferred Qualifications

RoD system or ticketing system

Powershell scripting experience

Backup and restoration systems and best practices

high degree of creative, analytic and problem-solving skills

Ability to work with leads and be part of technical discussion groups, help to manage detailed, highly technical project plans and help direct technical work groups through a project life cycle.
