LOCATION: Will work 2 days in Fresno, 2 days in Dinuba, and 1 day remote (mileage pay)

WORK SCHEDULE: Flexible schedule - depending on availability, can work:

-5AM to 2PM

-6AM to 3PM

-12PM to 8PM

-3PM to 10PM

Two (2) evening shifts per month

JOB PURPOSE:

We want you to thrive as a true superstar HR Generalist. This is a key position for us at this moment. Gratitude, discretion, and accountability are of the utmost importance in this role.

In this role, you will engage and build relationships with team members & thrive to make impactful experiences throughout an employees’ life cycle. This position will support the execution of all HR functions and is primarily responsible for employee changes, recordkeeping, leaves, worker’s compensation, and HRIS/Payroll administration. You will also be trained in payroll and benefits processing, auditing, and reporting. You will work closely with Payroll, the HR team, and Plant Operations to ensure accuracy and compliance in all routine operations. This position requires travel to locations, will work 2-days in Fresno, 2-dyas in Dinuba, 1-day remote, and even LA and potentially two (2) evening shifts per month.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Help to transform the employee experience, including onboarding, orientations, benefit enrollment, employee challenges, and offboarding

Supervise the day-to-day HR operations, including but not limited to employee onboarding, offboarding, record keeping, benefits administration, and employee relations.

Develop and implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment

Perform a variety of HR functions to support the Manufacturing and Human Resources team

Maintain employee files in compliance with applicable legal requirements

Handle LOA administration and worker’s compensation administration including communicating with claims adjusters, employees, and Managers to provide up-to-date claim details

Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and company policies, and actively contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures

Provides current and prospective employees with information about policies, job duties, working conditions, wages, and employee benefits

Carries out administrative work involved in the benefit functions and maintains related records

Review Dayforce, Payroll, and Expenses messages daily to help support overall payroll administration

Ensures that programs are carried out in accordance with company's policies and procedures

Advises individuals regarding eligibility and coverage for such programs as health, dental, vision, group life, long- and short-term disability, 401(k), and other such policies

Ensures compliance with COBRA, HIPAA and assists in filing required State and Federal reports.

Engage with team members through employee programs, meetings and on a day-to-day basis

Coordinate and participate in employee events and programs

Review and verify employee timecards and supporting documentation

Keep employee records up to date by processing employee status changes in a timely fashion

Processes personnel action forms and assures proper approvals; disseminates approved forms

Process employee data changes including new hire, terminations, promotions, supervisor changes, transfers, and other transactions as needed

Ability to conduct audits using Microsoft Excel and other Office programs

Ensures employee documents are completed and filed in our HRIS

Assist the HR Team and the Plant Management Team in drafting and presenting performance evaluations, performance improvement plans, etc.

Processes required documents for payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions

Conducts temp to hire conversions and maintain a good-standing relationship with third-party agencies and vendors

Keep up to date with the latest HR trends and best practices

Adheres to all confidential policies/procedures and conducts all tasks in a pleasant and respectful manner

Research and oversee special projects as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

Must be fluent in Spanish, verbal & written

5+ years of Human Resources experience

2+ years of Payroll experience

Experience using Ceridian/Dayforce, ADP, Paycom, or other HRIS platforms preferred but not required

Proficient in Microsoft Office (including PPT, XLS, and DOC)

Familiarity with Worker’s Compensation, FMLA, LOA & ADA

Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

Self-starter, self-motivated, doer and executor with limited supervision
