Accounts Payable Clerk

Description Robert Half currently has an opening for an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk. This Accounts Payable Clerk role will be located in the Fountain Inn, South Carolina area and will be a long-term contract / contract to permanent position. This department offers prospects of career growth and advancement. The Accounts Payable Clerk duties will include matching and batching code invoices, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L, and processing checks.What you get to do every day

Organize, register, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents

Handle the customer service needs of internal business partners

Accurately execute daily processes and controls in a timely manner while ensuring company policies are followed

Provide administrative assistance to the AP/Finance Department

Handle daily department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it

Carry out additional projects as required

Provide internal and external audit assistance as required

Validate, record and send checks, including expediting special handling

Complete full-cycle A/P Requirements - 1+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred

Demonstrated communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds

AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred

Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

Proficient with spreadsheets and databases

Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)

Adeptness in Microsoft Excel

Proficiency in data entry

Expertise in Check Runs

Reconcile Vendor Statements experience preferred

Purchase Orders experience highly desired
