Reporting RelationsAccountable and Reports to: Maintenance Manager(s) and Mechanic Lead Positions that Report to you: NonePrimary Duties and Responsibilities

Observes all safety and sanitation rules and regulations.

Performs hoist checklist daily and monthly, as well as monthly P.M.’s on hoist.

Performs P.M.’s on all material handling equipment.

Reports to work when scheduled and on time.

Performs other job-related duties and special projects as required.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Worker Characteristics

Excellent diagnostic repair ability for overhaul of material handling equipment.

Proven safety knowledge of repair and machine liability.

This is a skilled position requiring manual, motor and finger dexterity, standing, bending, stooping, handling, carrying, driving, pushing, and moving mechanical parts and visual acuity.

Education and ExperienceHigh School/trade school or equivalent experience. Courses in electrical maintenance or apprenticeships required. Two years direct related experience preferred.Physical RequirementsMust be able to perform the physical requirements exerting 50-100 lbs. of force occasionally and/or 25-50 lbs. of force frequently and/or 10-20 lbs. of force constantly.Working ConditionsThe duties of this position are performed in a warehouse setting. There is exposure to dirt, noise, temperature extremes, dampness, vibrations, equipment movement hazards, dangerous chemical or solvents, and electrical shock.Equipment Used to Perform JobMust provide own hand tools.
