ResponsibilitiesThe Site Manager reports to the Manufacturing Director and is responsible for the organization, coordination, control and management of all activities related to plant operations consistent with Eastman Corporate and HSES guidelines.
Comply with 100% safety, environmental and health performance. Provide leadership and drive corporate programs in these areas.
Direct supervisory responsibility for frontline manufacturing managers at the site.
Play a principal role in developing and coaching each direct report based on their goals and needs. Provide leadership opportunities, address training needs and lend constructive feedback on performance.
Determine, implement and monitor site Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and communicate to team
Manage general budget, capital expenditures and working capital
Provide leadership support and drive improvements to process operations
Provide leadership to address operational problems
Participate in S&OP; contribute to and support action plans
Support and maintain manufacturing reporting system, ensuring monthly review of KPIs and execution of corrective actions
Support site mechanical integrity and reliability programs
Support and drive site productivity program
Maintain an active role in the Community Advisory Panel and area Site Managers meetings
Maintain an active role in community outreach activities.
Build and maintain relationships with community leaders. Be the face of Eastman to the community.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering is required. Chemical Engineering is preferred.
MBA preferred
At least 12 years of experience in the chemical or petrochemical industry in Engineering or Operations roles
At least 5 years of leadership experience
Prior training relevant to plant operations and people management
Excellent personal accountability and leadership skills
Excellent interpersonal people management and motivation skills
Exhibit a high level of ownership in making a measurable positive impact to plant performance and profitability
Excellent computer skills in software applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Strong written, listening and verbal communication skills
Self-starter and self-motivator
Willing to travel with short notice
Willing to respond to call-outs and flexibility to work extended hours during weekdays (including weekends and holidays if needed)
