Carpenter/Cabinetry

Bruce Olson Construction is currently looking for Carpenter/Cabinetry for immediate hire. The ideal candidate will be dependable, and detail oriented with reliable transportation. Candidate must be able to be added to company auto insurance policy, pass a drug and background check.

Will be responsible for constructing building framework and structures, such as walls, stairways, floor and roof trusses and sheathing.

Duties and responsibilities:

Transition from one task to the next with a minimum of lost time

Install walls panels, floor trusses, floor sheathing, decks, roof trusses and roof sheathing

Plumb walls

Interior trim work and possible cabinet, door, millworker in a shop environment

Qualifications:

Demonstrate initiative on site

Maintain a clean, safe and efficient work area

Possess aptitude for learning and application of newly acquired skills

Previous work experience in the field

Must have reliable transportation in order to get to the jobsite.

Additional Position Details:

Full time

40 Hours per week - additional hours may be required to perform the role.

Will be required to work at job sites in the Incline Village, Truckee and Lake Tahoe areas, with Lake Tahoe being the primary job location.

Essential Function Requirements:

This job requires the ability to physically move around a job site. Applicant should expect to be exposed to construction site conditions including rough terrain, ladders, equipment noise, and heights as well as local climate and weather.

Applicants should expect to do a considerable amount of lifting, carrying, climbing, kneeling, and balancing. Certain amounts of strength, dexterity, and alternates are required.
