Responsibilities

Provides function supervision of intermediate and associate level team member's activitiesand processes associated with the intake and management of organ allocation offers and required responses in accordance with applicable practices, protocols, and policies.

Provide function supervision of intermediate and associate level team member's scheduling, coordination, and transplantation of accepted organs in accordance with applicable practices, protocols, and policies

Provide function supervision of intermediate and associate level team member's transplant candidate wait list additions, management, and associated communications in accordance with applicable practices, protocols, and policies.

Leads and facilitates the onboarding, orientation, training, and ongoing coaching of team members.

Leads and facilitates Quality and regulatory compliance efforts, initiatives, and workgroups.

Leads and facilitates the team's efforts to identify and address safety issues or incidents.

Represents and reports on team activity or efforts to various committees, workgroups, or collaborations.

Minimum of 5-10 years organ donation, transplant, or combined work experience.

American Board of Transplant Coordinators certification or working to obtain within 1-year of hire.

Work ScheduleEvenings, 36 hours weekly.Background ScreeningMichigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings.
