Land Surveying Field Crew Chief

GTT Surveyors & Mappers is currently seeking an experienced Crew Chief to join our team. As a Crew Chief, you will play a crucial role in conducting Residential/Commercial Boundary Surveys, Elevation Certificates, ALTA Surveys, and Construction Surveys throughout South Florida.

Position Requirements:

Proficiency in operating robotic total stations, data collectors, and GPS equipment.

Ability to locate survey monuments and compute the position of points using established surveying practices.

Capable of working independently as a one-man crew, with the flexibility to collaborate with another one-man crew when required.

Comfortable with physical tasks such as cutting through woods, digging holes, and lifting/carrying equipment up to 30 lbs.

Remote pilot license is a plus, or willingness to obtain one.

Field Work Procedure:

Use a survey app to clock in and out for each job.

Virtual communication with the office; no physical office trips required.

Upload text and raw files, pictures, and field notes before leaving each job site.

Access and download necessary documents from the app, including plats, deeds, aerial images, text files, and other relevant materials.

Expectations:

Experienced survey crews are expected to complete an average of three residential lot surveys per day or equivalent

Equipment Provided:

Robotic total station, GPS, and data collector.

Cell phone and all necessary accessories for efficient job completion.

Benefits:

Six paid holidays (6 hours each).

Overtime pay available (up to $45 per hour).

Qualifications:

2 years of experience in land surveying (required).

1 year of experience in boundary surveying (required).

Florida's Driver's License (required).
