Role Overview
Hale Kipa is looking for a foster home developer to provide leadership and expertise in training, supervising, and licensing a team of Hale Kipa Resource Caregivers who are culturally, therapeutically and professionally responsive to youth placed in their homes who need emergency shelter (referred by the Department of Human Services or Family Court), or a therapeutic home (referred by the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Division).
Must possess the following skill set: ability to communicate well, understand needs of youth, facilitate foster care trainings, support and supervise resource caregivers, ability to strategize recruitment effort for new resource caregiver families, work as a team member, ensure strict standards are followed and provide timely documentation. Strong organizational skills are critical. Bachelors degree in a human service field is preferred; or four years of supervised experience will be considered. The individual will need to meet the credentialing requirements of the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Division, standards. Experience with youth is required and experience with foster youth is preferred.
Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in a human service field or 4 years of supervised experience
Experience working with youth is highly preferred
Experience with foster youth is also highly preferred
Requirements
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in navigating electronic health record systems
Consistent and timely documentation
Access to a vehicle for work purposes, which may include transporting youth
A valid driver's license
Current auto insurance and safety check
