Farmers Market & Shop Macadamia Product Sales (FT or PT)

Are you nutty about good macadamia nuts? Ahualoa Family Farms is looking for some wonderful nutty people to help with retail sales at farmers markets as well as our storefront that we call The Nuthouse.

To succeed in this Customer Experience & Sales Associate role, you must have a desire to become a mac nut and coffee expert, enjoy interacting with people, as well as be successful at sales.

Farmers Market Responsibilities:

Represent AFF and create an enjoyable experience for customers

Driving our van to and from the market

Set-up and tear down of booth/display

Customer interaction/sales, handling credit card/cash transactions

Reserve market / event space when needed

Complete applications for markets / events

Offer samples

Maintain market displays

Other duties and projects as assigned

Nuthouse Shop Responsibilities:

Interact with customers in a friendly manner while offering nut samples, talking about products, and handling sales

Provide outstanding customer service

Make coffee to order

Answer phone calls and handle mail

Maintain a clean and aesthetically pleasing retail and lanai area

Follow opening, closing, and daily procedures

Maintain good communication with kitchen and factory teams to keep the shop stocked

Assist with administrative projects

Other duties and projects as assigned

Job Skills and Qualifications:

Functioning and reliable personal phone for communication and POS application

Ability to learn and effectively communicate our company mission and values to customers

Ability to develop and effectively communicate product knowledge to customers

Dependability - must have reliable transportation and consistent presence at the assigned market(s) and shop

Valid driver license to drive company vehicle

General math skills - must be able to perform basic arithmetic using a calculator

Ability to ring up sales and make change using our point-of-sale register and software (Square)

Strong verbal communication skills, speaking in clear and understandable English

Ability to lift up to 50lb

Ability to stand for long periods of time, although a chair may be used

Positive, can-do attitude

Prior Customer service and sales experience is a plus, but not required

Salary: Inquire, based on markets and experience

Schedule:

Market days vary by location, and may be weekdays or weekends

Nuthouse shop weekdays 7:30am-4:15pm

PT or FT schedule available with a combination of market (minimum two days) and shop days
