We encourage individuals from all backgrounds to apply.Posting Details Position Information Requisition Number 21266 Position Title Developer, Web and Mobile Technologies Type of Staff Position Exempt If, Temporary begin date: If Temporary, end date: Department Information Tech Services Pay Rate $55,463-$80,000 Full-time/ Part-time Full-time Work Hours per Week 35 Work Hours Monday – Friday 8:30 am – 4:30 pmUp to 3 days per week remote after onboarding period.Number of Weeks Per Year 52 Date Positon to be Filled Title of Supervisor Director Enterprise Applications & Data Job Description Details Job Description Summary Reporting to the Director, Enterprise Applications & Data, the Developer, Web and Mobile Technologies is responsible for the design, development, administration and support of web, mobile and other digital technology initiatives in support of marketing/communications, academic, and administrative functions of the University. In collaboration with Marketing and Communications, the Senior Developer enables the evolution of the University’s web presence, appropriately incorporating social media, mobile technologies, content delivery and content management tools and practices, technical security, authentication, scalability and performance for all web-based systems and services. Performs other duties as assigned.Essential Functions

Engineers and develops the University’s web site (www.naz.edu) and web/mobile presence utilizing secure and efficient web, mobile and digital technologies. 40%

Develops and maintains database-driven web applications according to outlined project plans and statements of work. Adheres to ITS Governance standards for delivering, assessing, and reporting on web initiatives. 15%

Evaluates new web technologies and makes recommendations for the effective use of such technologies to support marketing, teaching, learning, research, and administrative functions and to improve both internal and external communications. 10%

In conjunction with Director, provides expertise to the campus for all web-related issues including functional design, technical design and implementation of all of Nazareth’s web initiatives. Participates in divisional dialogue regarding web priorities. 10%

Implements the campus’ evolving technical requirements for web, mobile and digital initiatives in a timely fashion: technical planning and counsel, programming, and communication to ensure outstanding customer service. Integrates and manages a robust web environment (internet, intranet, content management system, social media, etc.) for an expanding range of target users including faculty, staff, students, prospective students, alumni and others, enabling these constituencies to effectively and efficiently interact, collaborate and communicate. 10%

Develops and designs web instances and namespaces that will be used for specific target groups and their functionality, applying best practices and standards for information architecture / architectural integrity. Works with the Director and Senior Engineer to deploy monitoring solutions to ensure stability and availability of all web and mobile platforms. 5%

Assists in the creation of and adheres to comprehensive project plans for the delivery of prioritized web initiatives, for the entire project lifecycle from scope and requirements gathering through postimplementation review. 5%

Creates and maintains technical documentation. Works with internal departments and external vendors to gather requirements and design specifications to produce consistent online user interfaces that improve communications to a variety of audiences. 5%

Required Education, Experience, Technology Applications and Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

At least 5 years’ of progressive professional experience in web technology strategic planning, design, development and project management.

Knowledge of web standards, limitations, platform and browser capability and best practices for coding and workflow.

Understanding of client-server architecture, web scaling & performance, understanding of physical and virtual server infrastructure.

Technical skills and hands-on knowledge for development setup, troubleshooting, maintenance, monitoring and management.

Ability to effectively partner with a broad range of customers to design and deliver effective technology solutions in a manner which is both cost-effective and timely.

Proven ability to collaborate on cross-departmental and cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Exceptional organizational skills and be able to attend to and prioritize projects.

Ability to successfully manage interpersonal working relationships. As appropriate, collaborate with staff in other units and divisions to achieve the goals of the University.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Handles confidential information sensitively and appropriately.

Customer-focused: sees problems from the customer’s perspective; Positive, proactive attitude; Tolerance for ambiguity; Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks; Strong organizational skills.

Preferred Education, Experience, Technology Applications and Skills

Master’s degree is preferred but not required.

Additional technical certifications are a plus
