I. POSITION SUMMARY:
Work as a partner in the achievement of our common goals, including, Guest Satisfaction,
Associate Satisfaction, Financial Success, and a Safe Environment.
Provide supervisory support to Housekeepers, Housemen, and Laundry Attendants. Responsible for communicating with the Front Desk and Maintenance for daily room needs.
Maintain a commitment to continually enhancing a uniquely exciting atmosphere and guest experience, consistently providing friendly service, and consistently providing the highest quality product and value to every customer on every occasion.
II. WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
Reports to: General Manager
Interfaces with: Hotel Staff and Hotel Guests
III. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Report to the Housekeeping Department at the prescribed time and in uniform.
Issue daily room assignment and keys to the assigned section.
Check units for a vacancy using prescribed methods, clean units in detail, and restock guest supplies as needed.
Teach employees the importance of, and how to greet guests and courteously solve guest requests.
Assure all safety, security, OSHA, and ADA policies are adhered to.
Assist in teaching, supervising, and mentoring multilingual and multicultural staff.
Assistance with purchasing all necessary departmental supplies.
Coordinate PM program with Engineering, Housekeeping, and Front Office
Enforce amenity programs implemented by Housekeeping.
Record all lost and found items turned in to the Housekeeping Department.
Maintain Lost & Found program.
Maintain positive public relations and attitude with all guests and associates.
Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and safe working practices and conditions within the department at all times.
Conduct daily room inspections.
Other duties as assigned by management.
V. JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Basic computer skills
Minimum one-year previous work experience in hotel
Able to track and keep accurate records
Ability to function well under pressure
Well organized and detail orientated
Knowledge of service standards
Excellent communication skills
Reading and writing in English required
Must possess initiative and high energy level
Ability to coordinate multiple activities
Ability to interact with guests and associates
Outstanding hospitality skills
VI. PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Extensive bending, stooping, overall flexibility
Regularly lifting/pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs.
Occasionally lifting/pushing/pulling up to 80 lbs.
Must be able to walk the entire property
Prolonged standing
Ability to manage high levels of stress
Visual observation skills required
VII. SAFETY AWARENESS
Comply with all safety requirements and regulations as dictated.
NOTE: The Hotel functions 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. All employees must realize this fact and be aware that at times it may be necessary to move an employee from their accustomed shift as business demands
