Security / Asset Protection

The Asset Protection Specialist, reporting to the Asset Protection Manager, is responsible for ensuring the protection of company assets, maintaining the safety of employees and associates, and providing exceptional service. This role entails supporting the assigned department/area with the focus on asset protection.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Safety & Security:

Maintain a safe and secure environment for customers, employees, and company assets.

Adhere to corporate guidelines and relevant state laws when handling suspected theft by customers or employees.

Report any unsafe conditions promptly to management.

2. Customer Service

Deliver excellent customer service, assisting drivers in a professional and courteous manner.

Demonstrate a commitment to customer satisfaction and foster a positive work experience.

3. Loss Prevention:

Collaborate with Asset Protection Distribution Manager to reduce losses in the assigned area.

Conduct Safety checks for the store/distribution center during opening and closing, ensuring all access points are secure.

Monitor the CCTV system to identify and respond to any potential security threats or incidents.

Inspect employees and their packages upon exiting the store/distribution center to prevent theft.

4. Reporting and Documentation:

Report all incidents, arrests, and injuries to the Asset Protection Manager promptly and accurately.

Maintain accurate and organized paperwork and forms, submitting them in a timely manner.

5. Teamwork and Communication:

Communicate effectively with management, fostering a collaborative working relationship.

Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to the company’s uniform and grooming standards.

Demonstrate commitment to company goals through honesty and a security-oriented approach.

Foster teamwork and contribute to a positive work environment.

6. Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Proven experience in security or loss prevention

Strong observational and analytical skills

Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally.

Basic computer skills and familiarity with CCTV systems.

Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
