Payroll Clerk

A Payroll Clerk position has opened up at one of our clients and is available through Robert Half. In this position, you will be expected to support the Payroll department through a number of duties including data entry, reconciliation of timecards, paycheck distribution and providing statements to various departments. A candidate should be able to effectively communicate with both internal team members and outside customers as part of this dynamic, fast-growing team. This Payroll Clerk opportunity is based in the Aliso Viejo, California area and is a long-term contract / contract to permanent employment role.Your responsibilities in this role

Perform clerical duties such as filing, scanning, faxing, photocopying, etc

Administer instruction/training to employees regarding the use of payroll-related systems including entry of timesheets, online access of pay statements, etc.

Compile data into spreadsheets and the payroll system

Data entry into spreadsheets and the payroll system

Construct and run custom reports

Administer and distribute reports as instructed

Communicate with organization employees via a variety of channels to obtain approvals of timesheets Requirements - Proficiency in EDD

Command of garnishments payroll

Solid understanding of ADP - Payroll

Payroll software experience suggested

Highly organized and self-motivated

Be detailed, flexible, and organized

Excellent data entry skills

Previous payroll experience

Proven ability to quickly learn new systems

Strong communication and social skills and able to receive criticism well
