Assistant Kitchen Manager
Duties:
- Oversee and manage daily kitchen operations
- Coordinate food production and ensure high-quality standards are met
- Supervise kitchen staff and provide guidance and training as needed
- Create and maintain work schedules for kitchen employees
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as necessary
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service and customer satisfaction
- Assist with menu planning, recipe development, and cost control
- Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional manner
Skills:
- Proven experience as a assistant kitchen manager or similar role in the food industry
- Strong knowledge of food handling, preparation techniques, and food safety regulations
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively supervise and motivate kitchen staff
- Experience in catering or large-scale food production is a plus
- Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques is desirable
- Flexible schedule availability to accommodate shift management needs
