Trailer Mechanic/Technician

The trailer mechanic is responsible for the timely repair and maintenance of trailers to ensure a safe and efficient fleet of vehicles. This position requires a high level of proficiency and working knowledge of trailer mechanical diagnosis and body damage repair. A comprehensive understanding of fleet maintenance operations and DOT standards.

Primary Responsibilities:

-Determine trailer condition by performing inspections and diagnostic tests; identifying worn and damaged parts

-Perform all preventive maintenance inspections, state and federal-mandated safety inspections & complete repairs in accordance with DOT standards

-Maintain trailer appearance; accurate repair and service records

-Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

-1-2 years of experience working as a trailer mechanic/repair technician

-Be a self-starter and can work with minimal supervision during your workday

-Possess a valid driver’s license – Class A CDL is highly preferred
