VP, Senior Software Development Manager
VP, Senior Software Development Manager (Pacific Investment Management Company, LLC (PIMCO) – Newport Beach, CA); Multiple positions available. Operate as a full-stack developer working alongside quantitative research analysts and portfolio management teams. Deliver high quality code that anticipates the scale, reliability, monitoring, integration, and extensibility necessary for trading platforms. Enhance existing and develop new credit analytics models in partnership with quantitative analysts through the use of a variety of coding languages such as Python, SQL, and Database Query. Responsible for developing services that enhance the data sharing capabilities across the firm. Create Python-based UI dashboards that allow portfolio managers to analyze data, market trends, outliers, and other relevant variables.
Requires a Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Quantitative Finance, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field and 5 years of experience in the job offered or in the finance industry. Must have 5 years of experience in each of the following: designing, implementing, and testing Python applications; designing web-based applications; SQL, Tableau, and Database Query; software development; and, financial analysis. Experience may be gained concurrently. Position based in Newport Beach, CA; telecommuting permitted up to once per week. Travel possible up to 10% of working time.
