PT Laboratory Technician (Greeley, CO)
IEH Laboratories, a Leader in Food Safety, is now accepting applications for a Part-Time Laboratory Technician position at its facility in Greeley, CO.
Ideal candidates will possess the following:
- A high school diploma or GED (required); an associate degree in Biology or related field (preferred)
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficiency with data entry and computer applications
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong understanding of aseptic technique in the laboratory
Laboratory Technician duties include media/sample preparation, sample sorting and log-in, performing specific sample testing steps (under supervision), transcribing results, data entry, inventory control, washing glassware, general laboratory cleaning, and other duties as assigned.
The pay for this position is $17.00 hourly. This is a part-time position eligible for the following benefits: paid sick leave (1 hour for every 30 hours worked, up to 48 hours annually) and 401(k). Part-time employees may be eligible for medical insurance after 6 months if working more than 30 hours/week on average during an initial 5-month measurement period.
This position operates in the following schedule: Tuesday-Saturday 2pm-8pm. The laboratory operates weekends, so candidates must be willing to work some weekends.
