What You’ll Do in This Role

We are looking for a family coach to work with the SWIFT program. SWIFT is an intervention to support middle school students with emotional and behavioral challenges at school. The family coach will provide student skills coaching and parent support services to participating families. The family coach will provide services to students and their families in home, school, and community settings.

To thrive in this role, you will be:

Comfortable discussing sensitive topics regarding mental health, special education, and parenting

Flexible and persistent in working with participants who have a history of poor follow-through with appointments

Friendly with excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills

Willing to take the initiative to accomplish project tasks

A team-player, ready to work with a friendly and motivated group of clinicians

Flexible to work a variety of hours to connect with busy families

Comfortable visiting participants’ homes and local schools

Requirements:

QMHA eligible

Knowledge and experience with behavior management principles

Have a valid driver’s license and personal vehicle

Excelled verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Experience:

Knowledge and experience in special education, behavior support planning, and individualized education plans

Experience working with or coordinating youth and family interventions

Working with children and families
