Under the general direction of the Payroll Analyst position and under general supervision by the Associate Superintendent of Operational Services, the Payroll Technician has an in-depth understanding of the in-house financial system to accurately pay employees while following all state, federal and education code rules and regulations. The Payroll Technician performs a range of complex duties to ensure the accuracy of payroll calculations and maintains detailed financial and payroll records.

Requirements / Qualifications

Education and Experience:

A combination of training and experience, which would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities, may qualify. We reserve the right to determine if a candidate meets the qualifications.

A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:

High school graduate or equivalent.

At least two (2) years recent experience performing payroll duties; preferably in an educational or government setting
