Functional Assistant to Founder

As a recently launched Network Effects startup, we find we need help in a particular area,and it's the area that's called "practicallyeverywhere."

This is an opportunityfor a solidly responsible, reliable and eager-to-learn individual to join us in our ambitious goals by being the capable "right hand" man or woman of the Founder/CEO.This is not a traditionaladministrative position. In this position, some of yourresponsibilities will fall under the heading of Project Manager and some under Marketing Manager.

In very young startups, things are very fluid and constantly evolving. We need a person who can grow and adapt as things arise. I especiallyneed a person I can count on, i.e., someone who can quite literally take on some of my current responsibilities so I can expand into others (other tasks).

Here are some of the things you would be doing:

1.After joining our Slack team, you'd be in charge of checkingthe various portals in the Admin Panel each day, along with checking our "Latest Activity" to make sure all site activity has been recorded correctly for the previous 24 hours (this all takes about 5 -10 minutes). Yet, if you were to spot any problems, you'd report them to me, to the main tech person and tp the QA person - and then stay on top of the matter until we had resolved it. Here you'd be acting a bit as a Project Manager.

2. There is a particular page of our site that is somewhat "social" and is connected to our IG page. This would be under your domain (it requires a post be made every week or two and linked to the IG page among a few other things). Here you'd be acting as the Marketing Manager for this aspect of things.

3.We've only been live for a few months, and are now in a phase where we're creating "marketing assets" for a marketingcampaign in late spring. We have a "three-legged marketing-stool" as it were. For instance,one partof the Third Leg is acontest where we'll be holding liveauditions at the Santa Monica Playhouse foractors/musicians/people to come in and perform/pitch their entry on stage. We intend to film these auditions. All of this is akin to a small film production. Here you'd be assisting us in acting as part Marketing Person and Producer.

4.As another example, the Second Leg of our marketing stool involves placing some ads online (an artist in Germany is currently working on some simple animations). I need someone with whom to help me suss out the advertising options on YouTube and FB so that our small advertising budget has a chance to be effective (precise and targeting correctly, etc.). Here you'd be acting somewhat as an Advertising Account Executive and Marketing Person.

The point is, we have to do whatever "is in front of us" to move the startup forward, and this requires all sorts of things.

This position is based onresults, not "hours clocked." I am results oriented.Investors are also results oriented (caring little about what we had to do to “get there” and, instead, focusing almost solely on the bottom line).

We're looking for someone who wants to dedicate themselves to the startup overall, and there is absolutely room to grow with us.

Initially, while "training," there would be a short internship with no pay (training on the Admin Panel,the Website and Slack). After this we can pay the CA minimum hourly wage (until funding, when things change for the better).

The plan is to begin seeking funding after we've achieved our online presence via our marketing campaign (probably this summer). Our MVP is top notch. The site design and technology (which have been evaluated by an outside consultant) are top of the line- thanks to my amazing tech team who executed my "vision" exactly. :)

If you're good at your job, (i.e., if we can make things move and happen together) when funding comes there would be a full time position offered to you with greatly increased pay and a portion of the Equity pie (we're a bootstrapped startup, and we're all waiting for this ourselves, to be honest).
