Description Senior Credit and Collections Analyst A client of ours is looking for a Senior Credit and Collections Analyst for a contract role. As a Senior Credit and Collections Analyst focusing on large and major commercial accounts, you will play a pivotal role in managing our credit and collections process. Reporting to the Credit Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the creditworthiness assessment, billing, and collection activities for our most significant commercial clients. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing large accounts, negotiating payment terms, and resolving complex billing issues.Responsibilities of Senior Credit and Collections Analyst

Monitors and reports on industry trends in accounts receivables on behalf of business units

Evaluate the creditworthiness of large and major commercial accounts and establish appropriate credit limits

Monitor accounts receivable aging for assigned accounts and take proactive measures to minimize outstanding balances

Reconciles account balances.

Raises accounts receivable disputes and collection related past due items

Conduct regular account reviews and communicate credit decisions to internal stakeholders

Collaborate with sales and account management teams to resolve customer disputes and address billing discrepancies

Negotiate payment plans and settlement agreements with delinquent customers

Prepare detailed reports on collection activities, account aging, and credit risk assessment for senior management

Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices in commercial credit and collections management

Requirements

Skills/Qualifications of Senior Credit and Collections Analyst

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field

5+ years of experience in credit and collections, with a focus on managing large commercial accounts

Strong understanding of commercial credit risk assessment methodologies and collections strategies

Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills

Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting

10+years’ experience in the Accounts Receivable field or related area with a great knowledge of the order to cash processes and customer supply chain knowledge

Experience with commercial credit and collections software is preferred

Proficient computer skills with software including Microsoft Word and Excel, Oracle, and Lotus Notes, and possess as well as Oracle ERP eBusiness Suite

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
