A service tech will perform many commercial and industrial roofing services including leak calls, maintenance and repairs, tenant improvements, and small commercial roofing projects. These roofing services will be performed on a variety of roofing systems including BUR, cold and torch-applied assemblies, coatings, EPDM, foam, metal, and single-ply. Service work can vary in size from preventive maintenance and housekeeping to minor repairs, re-roofs, and new construction installations up to 2,500 square feet.
Work with a 1-2 man crew to inspect, perform maintenance and repairs.
Assist with roof clean up; keep work area safe and maintained with good housekeeping practices.
Participate in weekly meetings to discuss job site safety, project progress, and schedule.
Assist in staging roof areas with equipment and required materials.
Inspect safety equipment daily and ensure all company equipment is in safe working condition.
Essential
Must be capable of performing strenuous activity relative to tear-off, carrying, and disposing of roofing material.
Must be a team player.
Must be able to travel up to 2 weeks at a time.
Preferred Not Required
Current valid driver's license required.
Roofing field experience or formal technical training.
OSHA 10-hour certification.
Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Specialized training: crane CCL, forklift, rigging, aerial work platform, roof system specific training, CERTA, etc.
