CNC Machinist
Job Description
General Purpose
Operate a variety of CNC machines within the shop. Responsible for the quality of work performed in a timely manner.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Setup, operate, breakdown CNC mill and lathe machines
Operate tumbler
Operate a vertical and horizontal bandsaw
Read, interpret and understand blueprints/drawings
Measure and inspect parts using a verity of measuring tools
Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machine
Check and maintain machinery daily, troubleshoot as needed
Maintain a clean work area, clean machines and floor during and after shifts
Leave the work center neat and organized prior to leaving
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Valid work authorization
Drug-free
Basic knowledge of CNC controls and language
Attention to details
Good communication skills
Willingness to learn
Punctual
Ability to work under pressure and meet required deadlines
Physical Requirements
Able to lift, carry, pull a maximum of 50 pounds
Able to stand/walk at least 8-10 hours per day
Able to use hands for repetitive grasping, manipulations, pushing and pulling
Able to frequently bend, squat, reach and twist
