Systems Administrator

Description Robert Half is seeking a results-driven Systems Administrator to support a client based in Portland, Oregon. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and administration of our on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure. Apply now!

Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software components of the company's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and storage systems.

Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation and minimize downtime.

Implement and maintain security measures to protect the company's data and infrastructure from cyber threats and unauthorized access.

Manage user accounts, permissions, and access levels in accordance with company policies and industry best practices.

Conduct regular system backups and disaster recovery planning to safeguard against data loss and ensure business continuity.

Collaborate with other IT professionals and departments to support ongoing projects and initiatives.

Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend and implement improvements to the company's IT infrastructure.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role, with a strong understanding of IT systems management principles and best practices.

Proficiency in administering Windows and Linux server environments, including virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.

Experience with networking protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing.
