SUMMARY

The primary role of the Loss Control Business Systems Analyst is to evaluate and implement improvements to Loss Control business processes and systems. This position ensures the efficiency of business operations and implements changes or enhancements as needed. Depending on the complexity of the project, the individual will participate in or be responsible for the development of project documentation including, business cases, communication plans, business requirement documentation, use cases, test. cases, and training materials. This role is responsible for the full coordination of system user acceptance testing as well as the administration of change control procedures, implementation plans, and training of staff.

RESPONSIBILITES

Oversee the implementation of process improvements by working with managers,

team members and other employees to ensure that changes can be applied quickly and efficiently.

Work closely with the end users, business subject matter experts, and others to

understand and help prioritize business goals and information needs.

Ensure all business processes within the work group are documented in approved.

format, accessible to all stakeholders and users, and kept current; this includes document sign-off tracking.

Coordinate training when necessary, on new system functionality, and user guides as

well as job aids to assist users in performing their system tasks.

Escalate issues to management that either impact expected deliverables or exceed the scope of the project.

Assemble data and research improvements to increase productivity and usability.

Investigate and analyze areas of opportunity, including impact analyses of change on all systems and business areas.

Ensure that business requirements are analyzed, well documented, align with business processes, protocols and strategies and are approved.

Develop project documentation including business cases, communication plans, business requirement documents, use cases, test cases and training materials.

Ensure that all employees are familiar with relevant procedural changes and oversee the training of staff and creation of documents addressing new procedures and policies.

Once changes have been implemented, continue to monitor and assess various processes to ensure that they are producing the desired outcomes; make additional changes as needed to reflect better results in targeted outcomes

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in coordinating testing of business system applications as well as

facilitating end user training desired

Minimum 3 years of experience in business system analysis and improvement.

analysis and system implementation experience with a working knowledge of

systems development and basic business processes

Experience in project management, and/or change management a plus.

Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience

Business analyst or business systems analyst certification a plus

Working knowledge of the Insurance Industry and/or Power/Utility Industry a plus
