Animal Shelter Manager/Full Time Live-In Caregiver Needed

Large non-profit animal shelter needs a manager/full time live-in caregiver. Duties include feeding and providing water, up-keep of the grounds, minor maintenance of the animal housing areas and other animal welfare related duties such as procuring and managing supplies, taking animals for medical care, and other shelter duties. The Manager/ caregiver(s) will be required to speak and understand English in order to interact with State Inspectors, volunteers and the public and sign a contract. The Manager/caregiver will be provided housing in a recently updated mobile home. Water and electricity included (with stipulations). Caregiver is allowed to have a part time job not to exceed 6 hours a day outside of the work at the sanctuary. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age. Must be sober and able to pass an extensive background and drug check. Must have a valid NC driver's license and reliable transportation. Must be able to walk unassisted, use yard tools including lawnmower and lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly. This is not a paid position other than the housing and utilities offered as described.
