The Council on Alcoholism & Drug Abuse (CADA) is hiring a Therapist to work in our Lompoc Outpatient Substance Abuse Treatment Center for Youth & Adults in Lompoc.
CADA’s Lompoc programs (Daniel Bryant Youth & Family Center- DBYFC and Project Recovery) consist of a multi-disciplinary team of behavioral health professionals who provide safe and effective outpatient substance abuse treatment and other services for youth and adults struggling with substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders.
We are looking for Licensed or Associate Marriage & Family Therapist, Clinical Social Worker, or Professional Clinical Counselor with a passion for helping our community to become part of our team. Trainee or MA/MS Student in
Practicum considered for the right candidate.
This position includes training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), an effective treatment for a wide range of disorders that affect the youth we serve, including patients with depression, anxiety, posttraumatic stress disorder, substance use disorders, eating disorders, and other mental health issues. CADA will be instituting and expanding DBT at DBYFC and this position will play a key role in that.
Qualifications:
LMFT, AMFT, LCSW, ACSW, LPCC, or APCC with current registration with BBS
o (Trainee or MA/MS Student in practicum considered)
Experience working with children, adolescents, or young adults
Bilingual (English/ Spanish) preferred
Duties:
Individual therapy
Screening, assessment, and diagnosis of clients
Working with parents/families in support of client’s treatment
Coordinate weekly services for youth taking part in DBT
Rate of pay dependent on qualifications and experience, range is: $24.00-$30.00/hr
(Starting Rate $24 hr+ Trainee, Starting rate $28/hr+ Associate MFT, CSW, or PCC)
Rate increase for bilingual (Spanish/English) & for relevant training/experience

Clinical supervision (group and triad) provided for associates/trainees.
There is a possibility of this job being part time. We would need a commitment of at least 20 hrs/wk for successful implementation.
Hours are generally 10:00am-6:30pm, as youth clients are mostly available for treatment in afternoons/evenings.
