Dental Assistant (Kids dental office in Aurora)
Great opportunity for a qualified DENTAL ASSISTANT in a friendly, new, KID’S dental office in Aurora, CO!
The candidate must have graduated from a dental assisting program, have at least 1 year of assisting experience and must enjoy working with kids! The Daily Duties Include:
Setting up treatment rooms
Taking digital x-rays with a sensor and panoramic x-rays
Perform prophies on patients
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques
Maintain accurate patient records
Assisting the dentist during dental procedures (procedures including, but not limited to, extractions, fillings, crowns, pulpotomies, taking impressions, and fitting bands)
Provide patients with instructions for oral care following procedures
Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
Keep the lab and treatment areas clean and organized
Help manage inventory of dental supplies and equipment
Helping the front office when your daily tasks are complete/or when you have down time
Requirements
Dental assisting certification or relevant experience
Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments
OSHA/HIPAA compliance
Proficiency in using dental software (Denticon is a Plus!)
Understanding of dental imaging techniques (Must know how to take digital x-rays with a sensor)
Great customer service skills (interaction with patients and parents will be required)
Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus but NOT a requirement
Must enjoy working with kids!
Schedule:
Monday to Friday
No weekends!
Current hours of operation are Monday 12-5, Tuesday 9-6, Wednesday 9-6, Thursday 8-5, Friday 8-1. Currently, we close approximately 2 Fridays per month to give you a chance to start your weekend early ! A typical work schedule will be between 30 and 34 hours per week.
