SummaryThe Strategic Services and Category Management (SSCM) Division oversees Army Contracting Command - Redstone Arsenal (ACC-RSA) management and implementation of Category Management in accordance with Army directives, principles, guidance, and policies. Click-Learn More About this AgencyResponsibilitiesServes as team leader and the primary expert in managing customer and industry relations and ensuring Category Management and Strategic Sourcing principles are applied to acquisition strategies to ensure objectives are met.Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets priorities, prepares schedules for completion of work and assigns work based on established priorities, and reviews completed work for technical adequacy and timely completion.Provides advice, guidance, and support to ACC-RSA's mission and industry partners for the effective use of various strategic source vehicles to meet complex acquisition needs.Develop, implement, manage and sustain ACC-RSA?s strategy for employing Category Management and Strategic Sourcing principles, vehicles and tools, and other acquisition tools.Serves as senior advisor to senior-level program officials advising senior program officials of the procurement objectives to be used and manages the process of strategic requirements integration in support of Contract Requirements Packages (CRP).Serves as a senior advisor and expert on improved utilization of category management tools, strategic sourcing, and acquisition execution.Administers a variety of recurring and ad hoc assignments in such areas as acquisition and procurement related research and analysis, oversight and review, process improvement.Administers customer relations program to seek opportunities to advise, counsel, and support ACC-RSA mission partners and consider the use of strategic sources and solutions.Fosters relationships with key senior mission partner acquisition personnel, overseeing the planning, coordination, and facilitation of corporate outreach, seminars, workshop, briefing, and training events.RequirementsConditions of EmploymentQualificationsWho May Apply: Only applicants who meet one of the employment authority categories below are eligible to apply for this job. One year specialized experience in coordinating with or leading personnel for acquisition and/or procurement management or project/program management of government acquisition projects/programs to include acquisition/procurement strategy development, procurement and/or programmatic business arrangements, contract and/or program administration, negotiation, contract modifications; reviewing contracts for compliance with acquisition program requirements by evaluating audit and contract compliance review reports, regulations, and other relevant material as a basis for developing and implementing departmental contract and acquisition guides or procedures; interpreting and applying knowledge of commercial and/or government contract/acquisition automation practices, products, capabilities and developments; planning and managing the contract and acquisition development process. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
