Principal Product Designer-Visual
OverviewCome join the QuickBooks Accounting Automation team as a Principal Product Designer, Visual. The QuickBooks Accounting Automation team is responsible for using the latest AI/ML technologies to solve our most complex accounting problems for millions of small businesses and accountants worldwide. You will be responsible for partnering with other design leaders to help craft the product vision and bring it to life through beautiful, interactive prototypes and other high-fidelity design artifacts. You’ll also be responsible for maintaining visual craft excellence for all product experiences shipped by a team of 5 designers.What you'll bring
Bachelor's degree in communication design, graphic design, Human-Computer
Interaction or other relevant field or equivalent experience
7+ years of experience in product design specializing in visual design or related field. Preferably shipping digital products
Deep knowledge of visual design principles, frameworks, and design systems
Deep knowledge of user experience design methods, design principles and frameworks
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; effective negotiator
Exemplary ability to build positive, collaborative relationships across teams through facilitative leadership
Proven track record in setting a vision for great customer experiences and setting a bar for visual design quality
Motion design experience preferred
Video editing skills are a plus

Learn fast: Rapidly explore ideas and complex interactions through prototypes and motion design. Test your hypotheses with end-users and key stakeholders
Facilitation: Lead cross-functional workshops that help to align the team on design vision and roadmap
Storytelling - Effectively communicate design approach and demonstrate strong storytelling techniques to inspire the team
Managing and mentoring - Coaching and mentoring junior designers on the team in craft and development of key hard and soft skills
