Patient Service Representative
Description Our client is hiring for a Patient Service Representative. As a Patient Services Representative, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a positive patient experience by providing excellent customer service and administrative support. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced healthcare setting.Responsibilities:
Greet and assist patients with check-in and check-out processes.
Schedule appointments and manage appointment calendars efficiently.
Answer phone calls, address inquiries, and provide information to patients.
Verify patient information and insurance details accurately.
Collect and process payments for services rendered.
Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
Resolve patient concerns or issues promptly and professionally.
Assist with administrative tasks as needed, including filing and data entry.
Stay updated on healthcare policies, procedures, and insurance regulations.
Requirements
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in healthcare administration is a plus.
Previous experience in a healthcare or customer service role is preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in using computer systems and electronic health records.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes.
Ability to maintain a positive and compassionate demeanor in challenging situations.
