Architect: Construction (Contract) Administrator

Studio 646 Architecture is a Golden, CO, based architecture firm. We are looking for applicants that meet the following criteria:
Qualifications:
Architectural or construction related Bachelor’s Degree
Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in architectural design and construction administration
Ability to use Revit Software to respond to RFI’s, create ASI’s and respond to plan conflicts
Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods and building codes
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to travel to construction sites as needed
Responsibilities:
Position Overview: The Architectural Designer/Construction Administrator plays a critical role in overseeing the
construction phase of projects, ensuring that the design intent is executed and that the highest quality standards are met
with each project
Oversight of construction
Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure that design specifications and industry
standards are upheld
Collaboration with contractors, subcontractors, and project teams to manage and resolve issues related to construction
Review and approve shop drawings, material samples and other submittals to ensure design document compliance
Attention to detail to ensure that the final construction product meets the intended architectural vision and quality
goals
Communication and coordination:
o Act as liaison between design team and construction teams to facilitate productive communication and problem
solving
o Collaborate with project managers, architects, and contractors to manage changes to the project scope or design
changes during construction phase
o Generate and maintain project documentation, including construction reports, field observations and progress
photos
o Maintain detailed records of project modifications, approvals and all issues during construction
o Coordination with project owners/managers to ensure timely completion and delivery of construction projects
