We want your knowledge and expertise!Job Summary and QualificationsUnder the general supervision of the unit Director or designee the Clinical Coordinator assumes responsibility for the direction and coordination of all functions in the unit. In collaboration with other members of the management team, including physicians and ancillary services, the Clinical Coordinator is responsible for the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in unit. The Coordinator assists the unit director to develop, monitor, and analyze budgetary goals and outcomes. The coordinator is responsible for the supervision and/or coordination of all including coordination and communication of information relevant to the patient care process. The Clinical Coordinator also, assists director on patient care and strategic planning opportunities for improvement.What you will do in this role:

Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care.

Participates in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit, in collaboration with other members of the management team.

Collaborates with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.

Supports a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when necessary.

Supports the efforts of the facility to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.

Provides recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff. Recommends and implements courses of action, including training and development, conflict resolution, personnel policy compliance, completion of performance evaluations, and/or disciplinary actions to ensure a competitively better organization.

Assists with staff scheduling. Manages all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines.

Supports proper inventory control and assists with managing supplies and equipment.

What qualifications you will need:REQUIRED LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS· Current RN licensure in Texas or compact state.· Current BCLS certification· Current NRP· Current STABLEREQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE· Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred. Other levels of nursing degrees acceptable with demonstrated years of experience.· Critical thinking ability· Coping skills to effectively deal with crisis and emergency situations· Clear and concise communication· Encouraging team-building effortsPREFERRED EDUCATION, LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES· Minimum of one (2) year of clinical practice in the clinical specialty of his/her unit (experience may be substituted for an area of similar patient types).· Leadership and management experience is highly desirable.· RNC – NIC preferred· Reads and writes Basic English with the basic skills necessary to transfer physician’s orders.Del Sol Medical Center (https://laspalmasdelsolhealthcare.com/location/del-sol-medical-center/) is a full service, acute-care hospital in east El Paso, Texas.
