PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Mechanical System Design & Analyst Engineer 6 for one of our top clients in St Charles, MO.Job Title: Mechanical System Design & Analyst Engineer 6Job Type: Full time; Consultant (12 months)Location: St Charles, MO 63301Schedule: Monday to Friday; First Shift Part Time – 20 – 32 hours between the hours of 7am – 4pmPay Rate: $109.46 to $139.00 per hourWhat will you be doing?Overseeing the development of mechanical and fluid system and thermal environment requirements to establish the system design. Coordinating issues related to requirements development internal and external to the enterprise. Auditing internal programs and benchmarks external programs to identify industry best practices and opportunities for improvement. Coordinating issues relating to system/component development. Reviewing and providing input to draft regulations and policies. Initiating and directing proposal preparation and new business development efforts. Developing new design/analysis processes and tools to improve effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the development effort. Investigating emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements.Skill Requirements Must-Have:

Department of Defense policy

Experience with Project Engineer responsibilities including Statement of Work (SoW) creation, Risk Management, Requirement traceability, Estimating, and proposal response.

Familiarity with System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR)

An active Secret security clearance

Preferred Skills:

Experience with or at St. Charles Missile and Weapon Systems (now Precision Engagement Systems)

In depth experience working with suppliers of Energetics Components, such as: Harpoon Standard Initiators, Start Cartridges, Fuzes (mechanical or electrical), FZUs, Pressure/Crush Probes, and understanding of the safe-arming sequence

In depth experience interfacing with and supporting the Warfighter and their mission

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's and 20 or more years' experience, Master's with 18 or more years' experience or PhD with 15 or more years' experience.

Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
