Door Shop Apprentice

Growing door shop looking for a dynamic person to be part of our team. Our shop pre-hangs interior/exterior slab doors and front entry units. We supply manufactured doors as well as build custom doors and door frames, and other various woodworking tasks.

Duties include:

- prehanging interior/exterior doors

- machining for various hardware

- receiving deliveries

- stocking/organization of prehanging door material

- maintaining shop cleanliness.

We do only the best quality of work. Attention to detail is required. We are willing to train the right person the necessary techniques/skills to do this job. This is a great opportunity to apprentice under the direction of talented finish carpentry craftsmen. Steady, inside work year round. This position has unlimited growth potential for learning new skills.

Applicant must be reliable and punctual, with a positive attitude and be willing to learn.

Requirements include:

- must be able to lift 75 lbs.

- basic carpentry skills (ability to read and understand measurements)

- ability to adhere to general safety guidelines regarding stationary and portable power tools,

hand tools and building materials

- previous carpentry/shop experience helpful

- have reliable transportation

- have critical thinking skills

- strong verbal and written communication skills

Full time position- Monday through Friday 7:30-4:00
