DSP (Direct Support Professional)

Group home in Loudoun county taking care of individuals with disabilities. Seeking a dedicated and professional DSP

⮚ Provide direct support and care to individuals with developmental disabilities/special needs

⮚ Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, meal preparation, and feeding

⮚ Assist with housekeeping tasks to ensure a clean, safe, and healthy environment.


⮚ Administer medications and monitor health conditions under the supervision of a nurse


⮚ Implement care plans to maintain the wellbeing of the individual

⮚ Implement behavior support plans and assist with behavior management techniques

⮚ Support individuals in participating in community activities and social interactions


⮚ Document and maintain accurate records of services provided

⮚ Attend required training

Requirements:


⮚Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team

⮚Patience, compassion, and empathy for individuals with special needs

⮚
Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety protocols

⮚Must be able to stand, walk, sit, kneel, bend from the waist as needed.

⮚ Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
