Food Preparation Worker and Farmers Market Sales Associate

We seek an energetic and reliable assistant to join our team at a fast-growing food company. As a Food Prep Assistant, you'll be responsible for a variety of tasks, including preparation and packaging of our products, cutting fruits, bagging products, and selling at local farmers' markets. You'll work closely with our team to ensure that we are delivering high-quality products to our customers.

Farmers Markets are located at Legion Park on Saturdays 8 am-2:30 pm Brickle 9 am- 2 pm and Vizcaya Village on Sundays 8 am- 2:30 pm. Other locations will be added later. Commercial Kitchen where most of the preparation will take place at Dania Beach. Roughly about 25 hours weekly. Visit our website and click on locations for more details.

As we continue to grow, the hours and locations may change. Our ultimate goal is to promote the person hired for this role to a manager position and have them oversee their own farmers markets

MUST HAVE A CAR AND RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION.

Responsibilities:

-Assist with the preparation and packaging of our fruit products, including sorting, cleaning, and packaging fruits and nuts

-Cut and package various fruits and nuts using designated equipment and following established procedures

-Bag and label products for retail sale, ensuring that all labeling and packaging meets quality standards

-Provide assistance at farmers' markets, including setting up and taking down our booth, interacting with customers, and sharing information about our products and brand

-Ensure the work area is clean and organized at all times, following established food safety and sanitation protocols

-Other duties as assigned by management

-Set up and assist in selling at farmers' market

Requirements:

Comfortable selling and interacting with customers

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks, such as standing for extended periods of time and bending or reaching

Flexible availability, including weekends and evenings as needed

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to farmers markets (preference given to those who have SUV, Pick-up truck, hatchback, crossover, minivan or any larger vehicle)

Experience in food production or a related field is preferred but not required

Willingness to learn and grow with the company
