This position is only open to residents in the state(s) specified above.Job SummaryResponsible for managing the travel management company and ensuring all services are obtained at the best possible cost and consistent with the travel needs of the organization.Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities

Oversees the Travel Management Company (TMC). Supports and co-leads implementation of TMC. Holds the TMC accountable for service levels. Leads quarterly reviews with the TMC. Drives process/cost improvement projects with the TMC. Reviews TMC invoices and approves payment. Allocates costs to the business.

Sources travel discounts with Airlines and Rental Car providers. Conducts annual sourcing of the complete hotel program.

Maintains the company’s Travel Policy. Communicates with business leaders as needed on policy, cost reduction programs and change initiatives.

Conducts annual review of travel initiatives, metrics, projections and industry trends and presents to senior management. Supports all travel reporting requirements.

Identifies and drives cost savings projects.

Reviews compliance to Travel programs and initiatives.

Nature and Scope

Solutions require analysis and investigation.

Achieves planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods, business principles, and practical experience.

Manages a group or team of professional individual contributors and/or indirectly supervises support staff.

Work Environment

Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Education and Experience

Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 7+ years of experience in a related field. May require certification. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.
