About Us: HJS Supply Co. is a leading provider of janitorial supplies and restoration equipment committed to maintaining clean and efficient spaces for our clients. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Restoration Equipment Service Technician to join our team. If you have a passion for ensuring that restoration equipment is in optimal condition, we want to hear from you. We are willing to provide training of truckmount carpet systems as well as HVAC training to the right applicant.
Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of janitorial equipment, including but not limited to vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers, portable and truckmount carpet cleaners, and a multitude of restoration equipment.
Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues to identify the root cause of malfunctions.
Rebuilding dehumidifiers and air movers.
Conduct regular inspections to ensure all restoration equipment meets safety and performance standards.
Order and maintain an inventory of replacement parts and supplies for timely repairs.
Collaborate with the customers to address equipment concerns and provide training on proper usage and maintenance.
Keep accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and equipment inventory.
Stay informed about new technologies and advancements in restoration equipment.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Service Technician or similar role.
Strong knowledge of various restoration equipment and their components.
Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Familiarity with safety protocols related to equipment operation and repair.
Good communication skills to interact with team members and provide training.
Basic computer skills for record-keeping and inventory management.
Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy equipment.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Relevant technical training or certification in equipment repair is a plus.
Valid driver's license.
